JOB OVERVIEW

Hmly Pte Ltd is currently looking for an experienced and responsible Printing Operator to join our production team in Jurong West. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, setting up and maintaining printing machines while ensuring that all printed materials meet the required quality and production standards.

This role is suitable for candidates with practical experience in the printing industry, particularly those who have hands-on experience with letterpress and offset printing machines. The candidate should be familiar with printing processes, machine adjustments, colour consistency and basic troubleshooting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate and set up letterpress printing machines according to job requirements and production specifications.
• Operate offset printing machines and ensure smooth and efficient production.
• Prepare printing plates, paper, materials, inks and other necessary supplies before production begins.
• Check machine settings carefully to ensure the correct printing specifications are followed.
• Monitor printing output throughout the production process to maintain consistent quality.
• Check colour consistency, print alignment and registration during printing.
• Make appropriate machine adjustments when required to maintain print quality.
• Identify and troubleshoot basic machine or printing issues to minimise production downtime.
• Conduct regular cleaning of printing machines and surrounding work areas.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on printing equipment.
• Ensure printing materials are handled properly and prepared according to production requirements.
• Inspect completed printing jobs for defects, inconsistencies or quality issues.
• Ensure all completed jobs meet the required quality standards before they are passed to the next production stage.
• Follow production schedules and complete printing jobs within the required deadlines.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure the production area remains clean, organised and safe.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and company regulations at all times.
• Report machine problems, production issues or equipment abnormalities to the relevant supervisor.
• Work independently while maintaining accuracy and productivity during daily operations.
• Cooperate with other production team members to ensure smooth workflow.
• Be willing to work overtime when required to meet production deadlines.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Previous hands-on experience in letterpress printing is required.
• Experience operating offset printing machines is required.
• Candidates should have practical knowledge of printing processes and production procedures.
• Good understanding of machine setup, printing materials, inks and printing plates.
• Able to perform basic machine adjustments and troubleshooting.
• Able to conduct quality checks and identify printing defects.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Responsible, careful and detail-oriented when handling printing jobs.
• Able to follow production instructions and meet assigned deadlines.
• Willing to work a 5.5-day work week and overtime when required.
• Relevant experience in the printing or production industry will be an advantage.
