JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for responsible and hardworking individuals to join as Bus Cleaners at Mandai Bus Depot. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of buses, including the interior and exterior areas, and ensuring that buses are properly cleaned and ready for operation.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sweep and mop the floors of buses to ensure they are clean and free from dirt.
• Wipe and clean passenger seats, including fabric and plastic surfaces.
• Clean windows, mirrors, windshields and other glass panels.
• Remove rubbish and dispose of waste properly according to workplace procedures.
• Clean the driver’s cabin area, including the dashboard and steering area through surface cleaning.
• Disinfect handrails, poles and other frequently touched surfaces.
• Wash the exterior of buses using water and appropriate cleaning agents.
• Remove dirt, mud, stains and other marks from the bus body.
• Clean bus windows and windshields thoroughly.
• Wipe or polish headlights and number plates when required.
• Check the general condition of the bus while cleaning.
• Report damaged seats, lights, windows or other issues to the supervisor.
• Inform the supervisor if any area requires additional or deep cleaning.
• Use cleaning equipment and cleaning products properly and safely.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
• Maintain a clean and orderly working area at all times.

WORKING SCHEDULE

Working hours are from 8.00 PM to 4.00 AM. The position follows a rotational schedule of 5 working days followed by 5 days off. Applicants must be comfortable working during night hours and following a rotational work schedule.

TRANSPORT

Return transport will be provided to drop workers home after the completion of the night shift, subject to the company’s transport arrangements.

REQUIREMENTS

• Able to work full time and follow a rotational schedule.
• Comfortable working night shifts from 8.00 PM to 4.00 AM.
• Physically fit and able to perform cleaning duties for extended periods.
• Responsible, hardworking and disciplined.
• Able to follow instructions from supervisors and workplace procedures.
• Cleaning experience is an advantage, but applicants who are willing to learn may also be considered.
• Able to work independently as well as together with a team.
